One moment can change everything
IF I KNEW IT WOULD BE THE LAST TIME THAT YOU WOULD WALK OUT THE DOOR, I WOULD GIVE YOU A HUG AND CALL YOU BACK FOR ONE MORE. IF I KNEW IT WOULD BE THE LAST TIME I'D HEAR YOUR VOICE , I WOULD VIDEO EACH ACTION AND WORD SO I COULD PLAY THEM BACK.
HOW CAN WE TELL YOU HOW MUCH WE MISS YOU? HOW CAN WE POSSIBLY SPEND THE REST OF OUR LIVES MISSING WHAT WE HAVE LOST?? HOW CAN WE BREATH , EXIST, GO ON WITHOUT OUR ONLY SON?
IF I KNEW IT WOULD BE YOUR LAST DAY AND THIS IS ALL I GET, I'D LIKE TO SAY HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU. I HOPE WE NEVER FORGET THAT TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED TO ANYONE, YOUNG OR OLD ALIKE, AND THIS MAY BE THE LAST CHANCE YOU GET TO HOLD YOUR LOVED ONE TIGHT. SO IF YOU'RE WAITING FOR TOMORROW, WHY NOT DO IT TODAY?
AND IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES, YOU'LL HAVE NO REGRETS ABOUT TODAY.
If you knew Jason: you know it was all about his friends, motorcycles, dirt bikes, atvs and riding - lifted trucks, it had to be high ( really high ) and it had to be loud, the wheels, the rims, the size of the tires, 4-wheeling, sand, mud and did I mention ALL OF HIS FRIENDS and hanging out!! **his friends were the most important and above all else** and don't forget the hair!!
Jason had been riding since before his feet could reach the ground. He knew how to ride and did so at every chance he got. No matter where or when. He could be found loading up the truck and going out even on the hottest of Arizona summer days. The boys loved Sycamore Creek for dirt-bike riding and four-wheeling in his truck.
Jason never wanted to be alone. He always had to have a friend with him. We had an active garage and always a
cul-de-sac full of boys and their trucks.
Going out with friends on that last night of his life, he changed his mind at the last minute and took his bike instead of the truck. His last words echo in my mind. I heard him say, " bye Dad , love you , don't worry I have my helmet"
